Why get support from Julie and Numbers Unlocked?
With a degree in Philosophy and a Masters in Computing, Julie started her career in a local solicitors office and HR.
In 2020, Julie launched her first side hustle, Julie’s Craft Cabin. During her time building this crafty side hustle, Julie met many fellow small business owners and side hustlers. She found that they did not have the skills and knowledge of bookkeeping that she had. And, she was determined to help them. She became a group expert on finance and bookkeeping and continues to support in that community with her ‘invaluable support, time and patience’.
After finding that she loved working for herself, Julie launched a second side hustle, or more of a flourishing small business, in May 2021; Breckon Consulting. With this role she has worked with small businesses across a variety of professional sectors. To support them on a consultancy basis with their HR and bookkeeping.
Now, as a qualified HR practitioner and certified bookkeeper she offers tailored HR, bookkeeping and small business solutions across England and Wales.
Through her work with side hustles, crafty businesses and small businesses, Julie noticed that a lot of the training which already existed was tailored to limited companies or used traditional accounting methods which were not suited to the cash based accounting method these businesses were using.
This was leaving side hustlers and crafty business owners overwhelmed and confused. Julie developed her training, simple, tailored, one-to-one sessions that would give people confidence and clarity to manage their daily transactions, knowing that expert support is just a step away. And now, available as a cost effective membership too!
